Physical Infrastructure (PI)

U.S. physical infrastructure is the backbone of the economy and a fixture in millions of people’s daily lives. PI looks at federal agencies that are responsible for infrastructure such as transportation, mail, and federal real property.
To that end, PI studies aviation, highways, transit, maritime ports, rail systems, and pipelines. It also reviews changes in mail processing and other factors affecting the U.S. Postal Service. PI also helps ensure that federal facilities are secure and managed efficiently.
