Office of Public Affairs (OPA)

OPA is the communications arm of the agency that works to inform the Congress and the public of GAO’s work to save taxpayer money. OPA oversees all external communications, manages the agency website GAO.gov, manages the agency's digital and social media presence, and produces multimedia and summary-level explainers to support GAO’s mission work.  

In addition, OPA facilitates media interviews, coaches executives on public communication, and provides written and visual communications support to GAO’s Executive Committee and operations offices.
