We’re bringing our scientific expertise to you in a series of events on pressing and emerging science and technology issues. These panels are held periodically in the Agency Connection Center of the Longworth House Office Building (Room B-245). Currently scheduled panels include:

GAO’s Chief Economist, Dr. Theresa Osborne, and one of GAO's S&T Directors, join Sterling to talk about what it takes to maintain competitiveness in a world of accelerating technology, fragile supply chains, and challenging international trade relationships.

Each year, GAO assesses DOD’s progress in acquiring its costliest weapon systems, such as aircraft carriers, fighter jets, and tanks. GAO’s Shelby Oakley, Director, Contracting and National Security Acquisitions, and her team will talk about the challenges they identified in GAO’s 22nd annual assessment that DOD encounters in delivering new technologies quickly, while faced with constantly evolving threats.
