Julie Matta is the Deputy General Counsel for Legal Operations in GAO’s Office of the General Counsel. She serves as the agency’s Chief Ethics Officer and assists with GAO’s Contract Appeals Board.

Julie joined GAO in February 2002, after serving four years on active duty as a U.S. Army judge advocate. Julie received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgetown University.
