Anne Sit-Williams

Anne Sit-Williams is a Director in GAO’s Financial Management and Assurance team. She oversees GAO’s audit of the General Fund of the United States, as well as issues involving the Department of Defense’s fund balance with Treasury.
Anne joined GAO in 2009 as a senior auditor. Her primary responsibility was the initial financial statement audit of the Troubled Asset Relief Program. She also assisted in a joint effort with the inspectors general community to update the Financial Audit Manual, the methodology used to perform financial statement audits of federal entities in accordance with professional standards. Prior to joining GAO, she worked for several years as an audit manager at Ernst & Young, LLP.
Anne earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a certified public accountant.
