Maternal Deaths Are Increasing--Here's Why
Each year, hundreds of women die in the U.S. from complications during pregnancy and childbirth. While the number of deaths has increased steadily, in 2021, during COVID, it reached more than a thousand. What factors have contributed to this growing number of maternal deaths?
