For Congress
Welcome
GAO is ready to work for Members of Congress. Whether you’re new to Congress or you just want a refresher, watch our video below to see what GAO can do for you.
Reports
Requests for GAO reports must come from congressional committees, subcommittees, or Members of Congress. In conjunction with Members of Congress, We developed our Congressional Protocols, which outline policies and procedures for accepting and completing work. Read more about how to request reports.
Testimonies
Requests for GAO testimony should be made by a committee or subcommittee Chair in writing. GAO will strive to respond to all congressional requests for testimony. Read more about how to request a GAO witness on our Watchdog website that is exclusively for Members of Congress and staff.
Watchdog Website for Congress
Visit our Watchdog website for more information about GAO's services only for Congress (accessible through the congressional computer network). There, you will find information on general assistance and briefings by GAO experts, ongoing work, and requesting work.
