Marie A. Mak

Marie A. Mak is a Director in GAO’s Contracting and National Security Acquisitions team. She oversees a wide range of issues in defense contract management and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) acquisitions and critical technologies.

Marie joined GAO in 2002, and previously conducted national security reviews focused on logistics issues, interagency collaboration, partner capacity building, ballistic missiles, and defense management issues. Prior to GAO, Ms. Mak worked at the Naval Air Systems Command and the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters.

Marie earned a master’s degree in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
