Cheryl Clark is a Director in GAO's Financial Management and Assurance team. She oversees the IRS, TARP, Federal Housing Finance Agency, and Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection financial statement audits and related financial management issues; credit reform issues; attestation engagements related to excise taxes; and issues related to federally chartered organizations.

Cheryl joined GAO in 1984 and has experience in financial and performance auditing, risk analysis, and internal control assessments across a wide range of executive and legislative entities, government corporations, and federal programs.

Cheryl earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from James Madison University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Government Financial Manager and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
